ANYwhere: “The Apple Orchard”

I think that I may have an addiction to all genres related to mysteries, crime, and murder mystery. My other half once commented, on how can I stand to watch movies that keep me in suspense for so long. Sitting on the side of the couch, heart beating, I get sooo into the show sometimes, I don’t realize he is talking to me.

Books are no expectation to my love of a good thrill. I try to read as much as I can, but it comes in ebbs and flows. This next book I chose falls into my other category of favorite book genres: ROMANCE!

Romance novels are my jam and if I could write them myself it would be a dream come true!

I recently read “The Apple Orchard” by Susan Wiggs.2015-06-10 20.59.33

Spoiler Alert: No one dies in this book, yet it produces such a good mystery that kept me up all night. Each page is filled with history that ties elegantly into the theme of the book.

“Tess’s own history is filled with gaps: a father she never met, a mother who spent more time traveling than with her daughter. So Tess is shocked when she discovers the grandfather she never knew is in a coma. And that she has been named in his will to inherit half of Bella Vista, a hundred-acre apple orchard in the magical Sonoma town called Archangel.”

Of course there is a romance on the apple orchard, but it is so beautifully executed, that is felt like a real relationship.

This book combines my two favorite types of genres into one nicely written book. It’s also a part of a series, so I will have to continue to read on and see what other fun mysteries happen on the Bella Vista apple orchard.

I love a good book recommendation! Have you read anything recently that pleasantly surprised you?
